About Geshe Sherab: "I was born in Manang Village in Nepal, border to Tibet as a second son of five sons in my family. I joined Kopan Monastery in 1976 at the age of nine and studied at Kopan till I left to Sera Jhe Monastery in India for further in depth studies in 1987. Then I graduated as a geshe in 2000 and joined Gyume Tantric College for a year. I did a few short retreats in between. Then I came back to Kopan and taught young monks for eight months. At end of 2001 Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche sent me to Taos, New Mexico in the United States to teach at a centre and a study group as well as to help at IOF (International Office) of FPMT. After two and half years in the USA, I returned back to Nepal to do a long retreat. And I did a retreat in Solu Khumbhu, near by Mount Everest for little over a year. I also taught the young monks there while I was doing retreat. For three years I served as the Headmaster in Kopan Monastery. At the beginning of 2008 I traveled and taught at many FPMT centers in the United States and Canada for two months during Losar vacation. I was very fortunate to be able to study under the guidance of teachers like, His Holiness Dalai Lama, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Choeton Rinpoche, Khenzur Lobsang Tsering, Khenzur Lobsang Tenzin, Khenzur Lobsang Delek, the late Khenzur Ugen Tseten and many other great lamas."
